Homeopathy not effective treatment

Homeopathy can be used in conjunction with conventional medicine (i.e. urso). I would not forgo conventional medicine, but instead will use it as complementary. I use sulphur 30c every morning for itchiness, and it has helped me decrease my hydroxyzine intake.

That would be a treatment for symptoms, not a disease. Depending on the treatment, herbal remedies can have mild to moderate effects on certain symptoms. They are, after all, the precursors to modern medicine. However, a big part of the problem is that they are not regulated in any way. Dosages don't have to go through careful scrutiny so that it is very possible to take too much or too little. Ingredients are not monitored, so unless you grow your herbs yourself, there is no way to know that you are actually getting what it says on the bottle. It is also important to let your doctor know if you are taking herbal supplements, as certain ones can react badly with certain medications.

That being said, if it is being used to help manage symptoms without relying on it to try to cure the disease, then I say whatever works for you is great. :)

Most people I know don’t bother to even look at the data and see if it is helping, so it’s a refreshing change to see someone who does.
