We had our transplant!

My love received his transplant yesterday and although my heart is filled with gratitude, optimism and amazement, I have yet to wrap my head around the fact that we actually went through that. I praise my heavenly father, thankful for this gift! I’ll come back and post soon. My eyes are swollen from lack of sleep and tears. My head is throbbing from adrenaline. We’re not out of the woods yet so I’m on pins and needles with every noise I hear while in the ICU… life is beautiful and I’m loving every moment of it!! I thank you all. I have gained a wealth of knowledge from this community. YOU were/are part of our anticipated success. Talk to you soon… God bless!

Wow, Gloria, that’s terrific. Wishing your fiance a swift and sure recovery!

Prayers that your love is home soon and all goes well-I'm almost 8 years out post-transplant and it really gave me my life back. :) No more feeling tired all the time, no itching, normal color-I had gotten use to looking like a pumpkin, total 180.

Wishing a speedy & complete recovery!! You write so beautifully about this experience. Aside from the incredible gift of a new liver, the feeling of closeness to G-d through your ordeal is the best present of all!!
My husband is 9 years post transplant - what a wonderful gift!! Wishing you all the best!! Please keep us all posted

Recurrent PSC, Thank you for the compliment. I can't tell you how connected I was to my God in the midst of the adventure. The strength to carry on was not of me and I am fully aware of that! Thank you for your well wishes and encouragement. It is nice to there are vets out there cheering us on! Thank you.

Jeff, Thanks, it worked! I was crossing toes, limbs, eyes (at times with all the new information coming left and right). Lady luck was on our side. I appreciate your comment.

That's awesome, Payton! We can't wait for the day we can look back in the rear view mirror and see 9 years behind us... It's a journey as you know. Thank you for the compliment and prayers, both are valued.
