Is anyone else having trouble with high uric acid levels? I do take Lasix and Aldactone to keep the ascites under control. It's gone high enough to trigger my first gout attack around Christmas but one foot/big toe only. Now the other foot and a knee have decided to join in the fun. Fortunately I'll be seeing my Hep today and can hopefully get things taken care of.
Interestingly, I just got all my new blood work results this morning and there's nothing unusual at all except for the expected ALP and mild anemia. I assume the high uric acid started with the diuretics but I'll find out more today. At least my liver is functioning well otherwise.
