Hi all, I was wondering if there’s any info on what’s okay to eat vs. not okay after a stent placement. I just got a stent replaced, and for that day, the instruction was clear liquid diet. I did read that a low-fat diet is sometimes recommended the day after to reduce pancreatitis risk.
I’m not sure what’s smart long term, though. Specifically, I’m curious about yogurt and/or other probiotic food.
Don’t know what everybody else’s docs recommend, but I’m 2 years post-stent and I’ve been told to really cut back on fatty foods (I’m not overweight) and I do take a probiotic 2x per day. Here’s the link to what I take… [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00309S4C4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1]
I also take Urso 500 2x per day and its been 2 years since I’ve had any problems (knock on wood). I’m not a medical professional, just letting you know my experience.
Best of luck to you!
Hope this information helps. I’m not a medical professional, so factor that
Just updating some old posts, haven’t had any issues with probiotics. Been replacing stents on a 2-3 month schedule. Fairly regular eater of Greek yogurt. Also supplement with florastor. Had a bout of c diff last year, maintenance dose of vancomycin for that.
