Mayo Clinic Jacksonville

Does anyone have any experience with them? I've got an appointment for early next month for a screening appointment with them.

According to the gentleman on the phone it'll be a 2-5 day appointment. Fortunately I already have the days off from work and family that lives fairly close.

To answer my question, great visit. Dr Palmer is hugely knowledgable. I've got a roadmap laid out with stuff to do 6 months from now and two years. In and out in a day as well.

Hi CJ,

What type of screening appointment did you have? Was this to just establish a patient/doctor relationship? Glad it went well!

Becky,

When I was diagnosed I was living in Denver, and until recently my care team was there. My life has since shifted to the east coast, and as I'm originally from Daytona and still have family here I found a GI here that I really like and have started seeing. She reccomended going to Mayo for some additional evaluation.

So, they reviewed all my records and I went and spent an hour with Dr Palmer yesterday. He had some good insights, and answered a lot of my questions. No procedures aside from a blood draw and bone scan. As I mentioned, he laid out a plan and did a lot ot put me at ease. I seem to be a lot less further down this road than I've thought at times.

CJ,

I am glad that you're not as far down the PSC road as you thought! Sounds like you are good hands:) It's always nice to hear when someone is happy with their doctor.

Take care!
