I have a GI in Lakewood but feel I need to go to Seattle to see a hepatologists. Will I have to always to Seattle for can the Liver Specialist and my GI work together??
Hi super Chevy,
I see Dr. Siddique at Virginia Mason and I recommend her. You can still have your GI doc run most of your tests and then check in with her once a year. They should work together for you. I found her by connecting with other PSCers in our area. We have a closed Facebook group that we use to stay in touch and share information. This past weekend quite a few of us got together. If you want more information about our group, let me know.
Second that about Siddique. She is wonderful as is the whole team at vIrginia Mason in Seattle. We like the fact that the whole team discusses your case together. Have been going there for about 5 years and can’t complain about anything. Have had ERCP, MRCP’s, colonoscopy and gall bladder removal. They have the new liver scan technology too. My husband began with Dr. Kowdley at VM before he left VM for Swedish. He is wonderful too and has done a lot of research. I believe he and Dr. Siddique have done research on liver disease together. The other day I came across a profession journal article they had authored together. You won’t be sorry to have the virginia Mason team on your side.
Crewmom…maybe I would like to be in the fb group. Can you tell me how to find you? Thanks and best of luck and health to you, Super Chevy.
I just sent you a message Dolphin5.
