Anybody here familiar with this medication? My son’s heptologist has prescribed this because his spleen is slightly enlarged.
I have been told for years that my spleen will always be enlarged. 8 years post. No medications have ever been discussed. With already being on enough meds and supplements, I am ok with not being on another on if I don’t have to be.
I totally agree. My medication is in what I call a medical tackle box. A lot of pills for us transplant patients. Hope you are doing better Jeff.

Yes. My husband was on that. It’s a beta blocker typically use for high blood pressure or heart conditions. It helps with the blood flow. Not sure if your family member has high blood pressure.
Not at all. Dr specifically said it was being prescribed to deal with the enlarged spleen.
Yes, I’m on a low dose of it, started about a year ago. I think there’s some evidence that it can help with portal hypertension. Maybe not a game changer but my portal hypertension hasn’t gotten worse AFAIK, and such a low dose that there’s no side effects
