That is a great news. Will it be FFA approved for use in PSC ?

There was a phase 2 trial with PSC patients: A randomized, placebo-controlled, phase II study of obeticholic acid for primary sclerosing cholangitis. I don’t see any follow up studies. Results from this trial found significant decrease in ALP with the high-dose OCA group vs. placebo; however, as dosage increased, so did pruritus.

Studies have found that PSC patients have significantly improved outcomes when their ALP is within a near-normal range (typically 1-1.5xULN). Relative improvements outside of this near-normal range do not appear to affect outcome. This OCA study unfortunately lacks an analysis of patient near normalization.

Thank you!! Not a good news :frowning:

I was asked to participate in a clinical trial involving OCA and chose not to.
