Haven’t heard of that connection – does she clench her teeth?

Mathew,
Headaches can be a symptom of Hepatic Encephalopathy (HE), which is caused by too much ammonia in the brain. To rule out HE, her doc can check her ammonia level.

Cactusgirl. welcome back!

Thanks for the answers, it might be alllergy, we did test so she is allergic to alot of things.
My daughter is on Vanco 2x250 almot 9 years. Is Your son always on this hight dosage?

The “standard” set by Stanford University was 1500 mg (500x3), so that is where his Dr started him. Everything normalized within 3 weeks and stayed that way until my son took the 1st Covid booster (early 2022?). Since that booster his LFT’s have been elevated. His original doctor moved and the second doctor attacked this elevation as possibly AIH overlap. My son initially responded to Prednisone but after it was stopped his LFT’s immediately went back up. Since then we went back to Prednisone, Butadiene, Azathioprine but nothing has normalized the blood tests (all while continuing the Vanco at 1500 mg). Then, the second Dr’s office stopped accepting the insurance and we are now with a 3rd heptologist. This Dr is not a believer in Vanco but has agreed to keep him at the current dosage. He will not increase the dosage until there is hard evidence to justify. Sigh. He will add low dosage Urso soon. Meanwhile, throughout all of this my son has never had a single symptom and continues to feel fine.

OK thanks for the response. IDK why is my daughter on so low dosage then…
