So I just got copies of the 2 CT scans that where done. One of them mentioned that my bile duct was dialated. I had my gall bladder removed 6 years ago. There where a few small stones. The big problem was the gall/bile or whatever was really thick sludge like. Could bile that is thick like that cause the same symptoms as PSC? Do y’all know of anything that could cause the liver to produce bile that is just to thick?

What could have happened is that some of the sludge and stones from your bad gallbladder slipped down into your bile ducts. I have heard of this. If this was the case an ERCP should be able to clear all this up. Not stating you don’t have PSC, but if you don’t this could definitely be the problem. Good luck!

I just had another appointment with my Dr. He wants me to consider taking Urso. Has anyone taken this? What side effects did y’all experience? I saw hair loss was a possible side effect. Anyone have that side effect? If you did and have stopped taking it for whatever reason, did your hair grow back? I asked for a refferal, he is going to consult with a hepatologist, then get back to me.
