Cassidyrocha,
One thing to consider as you seek medical help for your dear son. The only sure fire way to truly diagnose PSC liver disease is through an ERCP. This allows the doctor to look inside the bile ducts and see if there is the classic “beading” within the duct that cause strictures and to observe whether they need dilating and cleaning out. If the MRCP is abnormal I’d be asking further questions. Do they show any beading within the bile ducts. If they do, and ERCP would definitely be in order to confirm diagnosis. I wish you the best though as you seek out the best treatment for your son. We are here for you if we can help.
