Gluten and LFTs

Hi Everybody

I know that there are other discussions regarding gluten but I am after a specific thing.

I had been diagnosed with PSC following tests carried out after I started having attacks of Crohn's which has been in remission for a number of years after treatment with immunity suppressing drugs.

Since last may, I embarked on a gluten free diet in the hope of seeing an improvement in my LFTs but the only effect this had was an instant weight loss of about 4 kilos which my consultant wasn't happy about even though I am right in the middle of the range for "normal" on the BMI scale.

Did anyone have a reduction of his LFTs following a gluten free diet?

Yes. I had seen a drop in alp by 100 pts. In a 3 month period. I cant help but believe there has to be some benefit.
