Cystic tumor

My husband was told today he has a cystic tumor on his liver which was diagnosed after getting a CT scan then a an abdominal ultrasound. Now we are told his doctor wants to get an MRI to get a clearer picture, but it is nonemergent. Don't really know much about it and was wondering if anybody else has heard of this or has one themselves. Would appreciate any info. Thanks

Lisa

Thank you Stephen for this link-great information.

Hi Lisa, an MRI is the way to go to get a better picture. Cystic tumours are often benign but can turn cancerous over time. Here is an article that may help.

I have one but I don’t know much about. I was told it could turn cancerous therefor I must have an MRI every six months.

Thank you Sissy for the info
