# Vancomycin for PSC alone

If vancomycin helps for PSC alone without IBD?

Vancomycin has helped many with PSC, but each patient responds differently. It’s very important that you are under the care of a hepatologist who is a specialist in liver disease. Your local GI doctor just won’t be enough for your care. PSC is a very complicated disease and there are so many factors. We’ve seen a lot of hopeful results with Vancomycin, but that alone will not necessarily cure PSC. I wish you well and please stay in touch.
