# Dietary advice - PSC and colitis in children

Hi there
My son is recently diagnosed with PSC with colitis overlap - the gastro dietician has advised high fat high sugar low fibre diet to settle his colitis but I'm concerned that this may affect his liver condition - does any body have any thoughts or advice - or even questions I could ask the gastro team?

I would definitely look into asking your gastro doc for a second opinion or see that the gastro dietician explains to you throughly why this diet is recommended for someone with PSC. High sugar concerns me. You can find healthy fats. However sugar overall effects my fiancées PSC. Good luck & God bless.
